Johann Joachim Quantz (1697 - 1773) to niemiecki flecista, pedagog i kompozytor. I - Allegro (zakończone kadencją), cz. II - Adagietto oraz cz. III - Allegretto. Johann Joachim Quanz (1697 - 1773) was extremely productive composer who particulary contrubuted to the fund of the flute music. Besides the numerous works of chamber music with flute and some double concertos, 189 solo concertos of him have been handed down. About 120 of them were composed in Dresden, - Quanz was a member of the royal court musicians till 1741 -, but all the others appeard in Potsdam during his activity as a flute teacher and composer of chamber music at court of Frederick II. The concerto for flute, basson (ad lib.), strings and basso continuo G-dur, here presented as the first edition, appeard in 1769 as one of the few flute concertos which are supplemented by a second solo instrument in the slow movement.
